After graduating from NUS, Gee Boon joined the public accounting profession with PriceWaterhouse Singapore and Australia. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand in 1990.

His career spans a range of industries covering payments, fintech, hospitality, IT and lifestyle product distribution & retail. This included roles as the chief financial officer of Mastercard - Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa Region; finance director of Ingram Micro Asia; Vietnam country manager and business development manager at Inchcape BHD; Head of Banking and Currency at eNett International and financial controller of Carlton Hotel.

Gee Boon is an avid rugby fan who now derives vicarious satisfaction in the physicality and finesse of the game from the safety of the touchline.
