Most Singaporeans base in Shanghai would know this place called Frankie's Place. Apparently, it is the oldest Singapore food restaurant in Shanghai for more than 25 years. However, the location is a little far from the city where most Singapore expats would stay. But, when the craving for authentic Singapore food sets in, taking a taxi down to this place is justifiable!

Orchard CRC Orchard CRC is a restaurant that features pretty much all the Singaporean favourites, including Hainanese Chicken Rice, Nasi Lemak, Hokkien Noodles, and more. I personally like their fried white carrot cake. No 1788, Xinzha Lu (near Jiaozhou Lu), Shanghai China | |
Nectar Dessert Café
Their Pandan cake with gula maleka cream is known as the best in Shanghai! They wash, blend, and hand-squeezed pure pandan extract from the leaves for their pandan products. Their pastry chef had to try out different ratios of water to the number of pandan leaves until they achieved the perfect pure pandan extract they use in all their pandan products. The pandan cakes and desserts on their menu have a pure and unadulterated flavour with no traces of synthetic pandan essence and artificial green colouring. Their curry chicken and their Nonya kuehs are fabulous too. It just tasted like home.
